Tutoring at Heth-Washington Elementary

 

We have several members of our church and the community who spend about an hour every Friday morning helping students at Heth-Washington Elementary School with reading skills.

Swallow's Nest Resale Store

 

We have converted our old fellowship hall into a resale store/boutique called "Swallow's Nest". This is a place where anyone can come and shop and if you need financial assistance, we offer vouchers so you can still shop for the things you need. We are currently open on the first and third Saturday of the month from 10am until 3 pm. We only accept cash and vouchers. If you want to make donations, please come during that time or call (812)738-2632 to make an appointment. We only accept new or like-new items.

Other Fun Stuff

 

This fall, we spent one Whole Saturday making Apple Butter. We made about 45 gallons. The proceeds from the sale of the Apple Butter went into a fund for needs of Children in the area.

We also have a Trunk Or Treat that will be held annually around Halloween. We have lots of candy to hand out, along with chili, coffee, and hot chocolate to give away. It is a fun time for all who hand out candy and all who come for the candy!
